FIRED?! Don't Come in?!

As I was leaving late for work AGAIN, I decide to call my boss and let her know. No worries, see you soon type call. Then I get a call from my HR Director (long distance number). She procedes to tell me that there is no more work at my current position and there is no need to come in. She said she had tried to reach me last night but had the wrong number.

~~~~~~~WHAMO!~~~~~~~
What? No more job. No more Patty. Nothing. Something slapped me across the face. i'm still in shock. They assure me that they will find me a new position and to stay by my phone. But still. I am allowed unemployment now since I was "let go" technically. But still. What the hell just happened?
I was actually doing hardcore interviews the last few weeks and decided to stay put. I was going to give my all to brother's new business adventure. Which I have. But still...
I see a license plate that says Prov 3:6. I remember that it is a lot of people's life verse but I can't quite quote it. I think its Trust in Him with all thine heart and he will give you the desires of your heart. Well, I just looked it up. It is actually, "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Much more appropriate.
I'm in the bathroom, I start singing, "Papa can you hear me? Papa can you see me?" Verse words pop in my head. Something like What good is it if a man gains the whole world and loses his soul. Well it's Matt 16:26 - "For what is a man profited,if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" I've been super selfish and greedy lately. Overly cocky even.
As I drive, a commercial comes on about how something good always comes out of bad things and God has a plan. It's a donor commercial but I find it speaking to me.
I know God has always taken care of me. I don't deserve it but when he closes a door, he always opens a window. I believe he's pushing me further down to rely on him again and pushing me into a better direction for my life. I trust you Lord to take care of your child. "His eye is on the sparrow and I know he watches me."
...at least I have Daniel Tosh tickets for tonight.
